Quote of the Week
It is true ... there are excellent truths in [other writings], but yet they are far short of [the Scriptures]. Those may comfort against outward trouble, but not against inward fears; they may rejoice the mind, but cannot quiet the conscience; they may kindle some flashy sparkles of joy, but they cannot warm the soul with a lasting fire of solid consolations.

What a great quote!
Good evening dear Sara - what a wonderful quote to come back to blogland to find! It is so strange - there are passages and verses that I have known since childhood, and sometimes something happens that suddenly the words mean something slightly different, or deeper, or more personal. To me that is the greatest blessing that comes from those truths - that sometimes you read them and know that they were meant for just you, right now!
Blessings and prayers to you all for the coming week dear one! Missed you over the weekend and really looking forward to catching up this week!

...because the Word of God, is Jesus himself!..."The Word became flesh, and dwelt among us"
